About

Matt Sloe is a Scottish illustrator and creative based between London and Edinburgh. Working with both digital and paint mediums, his work is an expert blend of striking, colourful and playful styles. Inspired by the vivid textures of South America and the natural world – he likes clean, crisp lines, and bold contrasting colours

Before spending time honing his skills at Telford College and then Edinburgh College of Art, Sloe spent almost 10 years refining his creativity through drawing. As an artist he has continually pushed himself by exploring new mediums and approaches and looking for new personal boundaries to break. His illustration work has also allowed him to delve into the world of portraits, allowing him to develop what he feels is an essential element of his practice – the art of observational drawing.

Matt has exhibited in a number of venues in the UK and plans to take his work on the road – from London to Edinburgh, and back to his hometown of Wick in the far north of Scotland.
